For over 20 years, Badger Metal has been servicing the die casting industry and showing how to extend tooling life and improve the performance of die casting dies by utilization of the  MetaLL ifeÒ   and   TherMaLLifeÒ processes
 
Now after extensive field and lab tests, the process has been modified to include application to cold work tool steels such as D2, A2, CPMV and others.
 
These Badger processes are not a coating or plating as is commonly being used in the industry today.
Both processes are unique and superior to coatings in that:
1. They do not wear off with time.
2. There is no heat involved with the MetaLL ifeÒ process.
3.  There are no line of site limitations with TherMaLLifeÒ.
4. Both processes induce compressive stresses that counter fatigue failures in tool steel.
5. In some applications it is possible to combine both processes for added benefits..
